This Focused Performance Weblog is a "business management blog" containing links and commentary related primarily to organizational effectiveness with a "Theory of Constraints" perspective. TOC is noted for its applications in Project Management and Multi-Project Management (Critical Chain) and Operations Management (Drum-Buffer-Rope), as well as in Marketing, Strategic Planning and Change Management (TOC Thinking Processes). TOC World 2004 -- My friends at the Goldratt Institute have announced their next big gathering of practitioners of and persons interested in the Theory of Constraints, its applications, and its successes. April 14-16, 2004 at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.
The big presentations are usually impressive, but last year, in my opinion, the breakout sessions were the real value of the conference, providing a substantial range of familiar and new tools and techniques that made attendance well worth it for both newbies and experienced practitioners alike. If you like what you read here at the Focused Performance weblog, you should consider attending. (If you do use the web form at the above address to get on their list for more info, use the comments section to tell 'em I sent you.)
