Quote of the Day - On Assumption Busting -- From today's QOTD...
"There is absolutely no inevitability as long as there is a willingness to contemplate what is happening." -- Marshall McLuhan (1911 - 1980)
The TOC Thinking Processes includes tools for contemplation of what is (or might be) happening -- Current Reality Trees, Future Reality Trees and Negative Branch Reservations. By describing the anticipated system of cause-and-effect in a way that can be easily scrutinized, assumptions of inevitability can be surface and validated or invalidated. That's good news, considering the things to worry about these days.
