This Focused Performance Weblog is a "business management blog" containing links and commentary related primarily to organizational effectiveness with a "Theory of Constraints" perspective. TOC is noted for its applications in Project Management and Multi-Project Management (Critical Chain) and Operations Management (Drum-Buffer-Rope), as well as in Marketing, Strategic Planning and Change Management (TOC Thinking Processes). "New ideas come into this world somewhat like falling meteors, with a flash and an explosion, and perhaps somebody's castle-roof perforated." -- Henry David Thoreau
Look out below!!!
Speaking of Thoreau (and his contemporaries), check out the Christopher Lydon's audio weblog. Lydon was my favorite Public Radio interview show host a few years ago when he was at the helm of "Connections." He's moved to the web and has been posting mp3 files of interviews with an interesting collection of folks, ranging from a series on weblogs to James Gleick (Chaos, Genius, Faster) about his new Isaac Newton book, to the Howard Dean campaign (Take Back America!). Today, he adds Harold Bloom, my favorite curmudgeonly Yale literature professor and defender of the dead white man's canon of western literature. The topic with Bloom is Ralph Waldo Emerson -- hence the connection to Thoreau. Check out Lydon. and download a few of his mp3s. They're better listening than Christine Aguilera or Justin Timberlake -- way better.
