NBC to Repeat 'The Apprentice' Episodes on CNBC -- As someone who watches entirely too much television, somehow I didn't pick up on this business-based "Survivor" clone when it started a couple weeks ago, but I have heard good stuff about it. Now that it's starting again on CNBC tonight, it might be worth a look. And a laugh.
I wonder why business doesn't provide more fodder for small screen drama (as opposed to movies. Or comedy for that matter.
That said, come to think of it, my all-time favorite sitcom -- WKRP in Cincinnati -- was largely a workplace oriented show. Dealing with everything from the sales efforts of Herb Tarlek, to the management of a diverse workgroup running the gamut from Johnny Fever to Les Nessman, to classic marketing promotions that sprang from the head of the Big Guy, that was a great show.
